What We Take and How it Works...

Consignment is by appointment only - appointments can be made in person or by contacting the store you'd like to at by phone or email.

  • There is a limit of 25 items per appointment.
  • A Raspberry Beret staff person will go through your items while you wait.  
  • Please allow 10 to 15 minutes for your appointment.
  • Clothing brought in garbage bags WILL NOT be accepted.

Condition of Consignment - All clothing must be in new or like-new condition.

  • Clothing should be in current season.  Please refer to www.raspberryberet.us/consignment for seasonal guidelines.
  • Items must be laundered before being brought in for consignment.
  • Items with stains, holes, rips, missing buttons or broken zippers will not be accepted and should not be brought in for consignment.
  • Items that are found to be damaged after the consignment appointment will be removed from the racks and donated to charity.
  • Raspberry Beret reserves the right to refuse any item no matter the label or condition.

Pricing - Raspberry Beret prices items at ⅓ of original retail cost for second-hand items and ½ for new items with tags.

  • A small buyer’s fee will be added to the sales price. The buyer’s fee will not affect consignor’s percentage.
  • Items may be marked down ( i.e., end of season, holiday, special events) at the discretion of Raspberry Beret.

Consignment Period - The consignment period is 60 days.

  • Items not sold during the 60 day consignment period become the property of Raspberry Beret and will be donated to charity. 
  • Any item withdrawn by the consignor before the 60 day consignment period will incur a handling fee of two dollars ($2.00) per item. 

Item Pull Service - Upon request Raspberry Beret Staff will pull unsold items you wish to pick up at the end of the consignment period.  

  • A 3 day notice before the end of your 60 day consignment period is required and a $1/per item fee will be deducted from the Consignor’s Account.  
  • Items will be returned to consignor only through the Item Pull Service and MUST be picked up within 3 days of the requested date. 
  • Items not picked up within 3 days of the requested date will be donated to charity. 

Consignment Payment - Consignors receive 40% of the total earnings for their consigned items.

  • Consignors are eligible for a payout check after their 60 day consignment period is over.
  • Checks are not issued automatically - it is the responsibility of the consignor to initiate the payment process by calling, emailing or requesting a check in person. 
  • Checks are written on the 15th of each month for amounts over twenty-five dollars ($25) and are available at Raspberry Beret the next day during normal store hours.  
  • Consignors may use the money they earn as store credit at any time and will get a 15% discount when they do.
  • A twenty dollar ($20) fee will be charged to reissue expired or lost checks up to eight (8) months only.
  • Checks not picked up after eight (8) months become the property of Raspberry Beret.
Every consignor is required to sign a consignment contract at their first appointment.  You can save time at your appointment by printing out the contract, completing it and brining it in with yoru items.

Raspberry Beret consigns the following items:

  • women's clothing
  • Vintage costume jewelry
  • seasonal items only (check our seasonal schedule in the sidebar for what we are taking now!)
  • styles from within the past 2 years
  • unique clothing that will meet the standards of our stylish customers
  • new designers - European and ethnic styles
  • bags, wallets and belts (medium to high-end only)
  • gently used and new - shoes, boots and sandals
  • coats, jackets, sweaters
  • jewelry including sterling silver& gold
  • costume jewelry (styles from the past two years only or vintage)
  • high end designers labels
  • mint & recently cleaned vintage clothing (including the 1980's)

Some labels that we are looking for:

  • Lux, Free People, BCBG, Theory, Kenneth Cole, Lilly Pulitzer, Ana Sui, Anthropology, Bebe, Urban Outfitter labels, J Crew, Coach, Banana Republic, Guess, Juicy Couture, Abercrombie, DKNY, Hollister, Ann Taylor, Aldo, INC, Lucky, etc.

Raspberry Beret does not accept the following:
  • Items that are ripped, missing any buttons, have been washed too many times, or are stained
  • Conservative Styles
  • Styles from over two years ago
